In an attempt to move 11 year old James Morgan out of range of his impending marriage arrangement to the loudmouthed dominatrix Jessebelle Hianmyte, his grandparents send him off to Kanto's Pokémon Technical - a highly-esteemed educational institute working in tandem with the Battle Frontier organization.

With the Frontier assessments, convoluted students and supernatural occurrences that follow, James' time at PokéTech was never going to be that average.
