Dai Thomas is both apprentice and brother to the Nashgri City Gym leader. He is rather short for his age and makes up for this by sporting a boastful attitude, but this usually ends up humiliating him more than anything.

Extremely devoted to Finlay, Dai is very reckless and can often be seen taking unfeasible risks, both in and out of battle. Even so, he is very caring of his pokémon and wouldn't dream of pushing them past their natural limits.

Dai is very fond of Nina Delphin, listening to music by the Go-Rock Quads and playing video games. He also loves Turball Racing, and longs to turn Nashgri City Gym into the first one to combine racing and battling.
