Kanto

From Rebirpedia, the Pokémon Rebirth encyclopaedia.

Kanto [kan-toh] is one half of the largest dual continent in the world. It is the location of the Battle Frontier, the founding region of the Pokémon League and, up until the late 90s, one of the last remaining places one could find animalian sealife.

Hoennian culture continues to permeate Kanto to this day. Such effects date back to earlier times during the existence of Ransei where the two areas of the supercontinent shared a well-formed alliance, and settlers from these areas travelled back and forth between them.
