Larydos (Japanese: Larydos) is a genetically enhanced Water/Flying type Pokémon created by Team Rocket. Her gene bases are Gyarados and Lapras.

Larydos seems to be a gentle soul at heart, unless enraged, and prefers to stay on people's good sides. She possesses formidable hydrokinetic powers, telepathy and the ability to 'swarm' - inciting species that make up her genes, and prevolutions of said species, to her aid.

1AR is a hybridization of Gyarados and Lapras DNA, in order to develop a powerful seafaring specimen with psychic ability, increased stamina, but a more manageable temperament. Resulting temperament has proven to be similar to both that of Lapras and Gyarados, and not a merger of the two. 1AR requires a means to control it effectively before it is considered suitable for use.
