Porygon
(Japanese: Porygon)
is a Virtual type
Pokémon.
Porygon is completely made of code, and
therefore has no organic biological functions such as breathing or eating.
While its design is blocky and its movements are limited, Porygon displays
an emotional and behavioural response similar to many
Enlightened Pokémon. It bonds to its owner and proves to be very
loyal, eager to carry out instruction. It prefers not to stay in Realspace
for long, instead spending most of its time inside computers.
Researchers were at first unable to
determine whether or not Porygon could even be considered a Pokémon.
Further studies into Porygon as well as other Virtual Types, later
cemented the guidelines on which future Virtual Pokémon were to be
classified.
