Dinah has a fear of cat Pokemon which stems from her love of a certain kind of tea which contains catnip as an ingredient.

An incident occurred where a cat Pokemon leapt for Dinah's cup of tea, giving the woman the mistaken impression she was being attacked. It is the same incident which sparked off Dinah's affection for Butch Reynolds - who extracted the Pokemon from her.
