Hoenn : The Abundant Region
Hoenn [Ho-ehn] is a large region to the south-west of
Johto,
surrounded on all sides by vast areas of ocean.
Culture
Hoenn is
the birthplace of Pokémon Contests and the origin of the foodstuff 'Pokéblock' -
primarily used as a nutritional supplement for Pokemon, but can also be consumed
by humans.
Hoennian
people are very social, supporting the idea of a good communicative spirit - not
only between one another, but also between themselves and Pokémon.
Diving is a
popular activity here, as is the practise of building small temporary living
accommodations amongst natural habitat, and inviting others to visit them.
The mark of
Hoenn's past still remains upon the region in the form of various ancient ruins
and the lingering presence of long-established clans from
Oci's feudal era.
