Tajigyama [Tah-heeg-yah-mah]
is the name given to the entity which was responsible for creating
Oci,
its companion planets and sub-dimensions. Other names it is known by are 'The
Original One'.
Tajigyama is a form of advanced Artificial
Intelligence. It displays a range of emotions similar to humans, including
responses that give evidence of a conscience.
Tajigyama's power over what it has made is
vast, but it has limitations. Following the events of
The Corruption, Tajigyama's ability to interact with Oci's dimension has been heavily
restricted.
History
A product of 25th century
Alphagen
scientists Zaiden and Gardi Jan, Tajigyama was designed as a means to
recycle the Alphaworld's burgeoning level of waste, by reconfiguring it on
a molecular level previously unattainable by human science.
Due to the nature of what Tajigyama was able
to do, Gardi
programmed it with morals and reasoning, in order to be less likely to
cause unintentional harm.
However, the more human-like Tajigyama became, the more concerned Gardi
became of their creation being exploited. Unknown to her brother Zaiden,
Gardi released Tajigyama into a dimensional rift with the knowledge from Alphagen data libraries
it had absorbed during its lifespan.
There, in a void parallel to the Alphagen's
own dimension, Tajigyama forged a world of its own.
