Lunan is one of the lesser-populated regions of
Oci due to its geographic properties. Most of this region is bordered by treacherous
Taragirite-studded mountainside and covered in thick, lush forests.
Channels of the
Aura Network run closer to the surface here, which has generated
unexpected results in both plant and Pokémon life.
Despite being only slightly larger than
Tatto, Lunan bears less than a quarter of its human population. Its most inhabited location is Cameran Town situated in the county of Rota.
Further towards the west of the island lie clusters of Pokémon run
communities - inhabited by
Lunari
and
Enlightened Pokémon. At the furthermost point of Lunan stands the
Tree of Beginning.
Technological progress of these residents has been slower than the rest of the world,
as the levels of Taragirite and
Aura cause
interference with most kinds of communication signals. Passage to Lunan from outer regions is also only possible by aircraft.
Lunan is unique in the sense that it is one of the only known locations to have retained a form of
Seer Government. The humans living upon Lunan are, for the most part, self-sufficient, economical and spiritually harmonized. They respect the decisions of Lady Eileen, a Seer descendant who resides in Cameran Palace, and those of her peers.
The
riolu line are highly prized by both those in Cameran Palace, and the
townspeople.
Because of Lunan's status as a well-protected Pokémon Conservation Area, those wishing to visit
anywhere other than Cameran Town are required by law to obtain a travel pass in advance and must also be accompanied by a registered guide.
Towns and Cities
1 - Cameran Town: The most populated location in the Lunan district of Rota - Cameran Town is governed by Lady Eileen.
2 - Keikyo: A mostly uncharted area of Lunan which contains an advanced Pokémon tribe.
3 - Nooka Outpost: A farming town. The locals here are very wary of any newcomers and can be seen as quite cold.
Other Locations
A - The Tree of Beginning: An ancient rock formation and core of the world's
Aura Network.
B - Enjhii Forest: Covering the majority of Lunan, this forest is extremely thick and easy to get lost in.
C - Cameran Palace: Home to Lady Eileen and her fellow , this beautiful place pays tribute once a year to a particularly valiant Agrarian Seer and skilled wielder of Aura, .
D - Lyftov Airfield: A special aircraft takes off and lands from this location twice a week. Its rarity prevents too many visitors from flooding into Lunan.
E - Dropoff Point: Mostly used as a viewing spot for travellers.
F - Offshore Laboratory: It is unknown as to who funds this research centre.
